Business Networking in San Diego

Written by

Networking and referrals are the main way that I have grown my web design company in San Diego since 2006.

There are a ton of local groups that you can become involved with!

(If you haven’t seen it yet, check out my last post where I talk in general about business networking.)

My “Exclusive” East County Referrals Group

East County Referrals

Of course, I have to feature my “exclusive” networking group at the very top of my list!

I have been a member of East County Referrals since 2006, nearly as long as I’ve been in business!

When I joined it, ECR had been meeting for over 20 years and going strong! Most of the members had been in the group for many, many years. I have had the honor to meet and know so many amazing business owners over the years, even watching as many sold their business and retired.

Members come and go, but what always remains is the passionate desire to help each other grow our businesses in the East County area by referring business to each other whenever possible. We are always open to new members, and invite you to come by and have breakfast on us!

You can see all the details of when and where we meet HERE.

My Favorite Non-Exclusive Groups in San Diego

There are so many wonderful groups, and I wish I could visit and list them all! (Perhaps I will, given enough time!) For now, let me just share a few that I regularly attend.

Exceptional Entrepreneurs

Exceptional Entrepreneurs

EE has been around for over 10 years, and I have been a proud member ever since the beginning.

There is no exclusivity around business categories, nor are there any mandatory attendance or referral requirements. This makes it easy to come and go as your busy schedule allows.

There have been multiple chapters and venues over the years, and as of this writing, they currently meet weekly on Fridays in Mission Valley from 11:30am - 1pm.

All details can be found on their Meetup page:

WSPN

WSPN

My other favorite group is a relative newcomer, having only been around about 4 years now! But the really interesting thing about this group is there are so many chapters!

They meet bi-weekly and stagger their times and locations, so you can attend them all, if you really want to!

I encourage you to try them all, and then pick one (or two) as your home chapter.

My home chapter is the “East” chapter, and yet I also regularly attend the Carmel Mountain and Mira Mesa chapters.
(...Though I do tour them all from time to time!)

All details can be found on their Meetup page:
